So everytime I start my computer and open up Windows Media Player, it shows
the Now Playing view but obviously, nothing is in the playlist. So I would
then go to the Library tab and by default, it shows the Song's category
view. However, I don't use that view because I have thousands of songs and
scrolling through them to find the album I want is a real hassle.

Type 3 or 4 letters of the album or artist name, and the songs list
will become very short very fast. Scrolling (as you've noticed) isn't
a great deal of help with large libraries. The Search is ideal for
this - it's the same in iTunes so there must be something in it ;-)

I like to use the Album view instead.

So, is there a way to make WMP open up by default to the Album view? Like
maybe adding a switch to the WMP shortcut or something? I've been looking
all over but couldn't find anything. The thing is, if I close WMP while in
the Album view and then reopen it, it starts back off in Album view. But
once I restart the computer, it's back to Song's view by default. Thanks in
advance!

The only switches available apply to the top level Tabs (Now Playing,
Media Library) but aren't as granular as specifying sub-view :

About the closest match would be to add on these switches to the
shortcut : /Task MediaLibrary /Schema:Music

I'm not sure what else you can do apart from maybe always opening in a
named Playlist using the /Playlist switch
