It sounds unusual that tracks actually disappear.
Are you in the Burn tab when this happens ?

You should be able to drag tracks to the right-hand panel (burn
playlist) and they should all be listed - unless the files have been
deleted from the media library (but the tracks are still listed).

In that case, you would usually see the tracks marked with a red [X]
next to them, indicating that the library was out of date with the
files that were manually deleted from disk.

In WMP11 - but not earlier player versions - the player will "span"
disks, that is, if your 10 tracks are more than about 65 mins of a
stanadrd Audio CD, it will then ask you to insert a second disk to
burn the remaning tracks.
