Re: Windows Media Player 11 Does not show Video in Vista

Cool - what video card is it with what driver version? I can't actually
reproduce this myself given the limited repro data available here, so I'm
curious what's different between our systems.

I did checked and there was no update available for the drivers. On the
other
if i stream the asf file using Windows Media Encoder on windows Media
Server,
the WMP11 on Vista does play the stream in all modes. So the only
difference
here is Streamer which was VLC. I doubt there are some fields in the
mms/asf
headers which causes this problem if it's VLC generated source or the
problem
could be OS related . Any ideas?

Hi There is no problem with the Video Car d as i can view video with
all
other players ans in full screen mode of WMP11. The issue is with VLC
streamer as server and WMP11 on Vista as client.

Hi All,
I was streaming an asf file from VLC player which encapsulates asf
file
into
an http stream. I was able to listen Audio view Video when i play
the
stream
on Windows Media Player 11 on XP. But when i try to play the same
stream
on
the Vista with Windows Media Player 11, I could only here Audio, no
Video.I
can see both Audio and Video when the player is in FULL SCREEN mode.
Can
some
body help me to resolve this issue.
The http stream plays well using VLC player both on Vista and XP. So
the
problem is with Vista and Windows Media Player combination if the
http
source
is from VLC Streamer. I also has some more inputs: If the http
source
is
different than VLC streamer, then Windows Media Player plays video
on
Vista.
Thanks for your time. I appreciate your
inputs/suggestions/solution.
