Yes, I just installed a new 300GB HDD in my system and am using the former
80GB HDD as a slave drive on the Primary IDE cable. The slave drive has all
my former programs but I can't seem to access the drive. My Western Digital
programs recognizes the 80 GB HDD and so does the system BIOS, by My Computer
does not show an drive icon. So, since I could not access this drive, I
elected to install Windows Media Player 11 on the 40GB partition system
portion of my new 300GB HDD.
When I went to download up a video file from a website, the Windows Media
player opened as it should, but a message box popped up saying: "Windows
Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the
file cannot be found." When I clicked on "Web Help" to investigate the
problem, I was directed to the WMPlugins website. There I downloaded the
"ac3filter" software offered by www.ac2filter.net. Yet this software did not
resolve my Media player problem. I have also run RegCure, but the problem
could not be located with this software as well. The error code is: C00D109B,
but I can't seem to find which codec is creating my problem. Any advice or
suggestions from anyone out there?
