So what does show up under the Pictures node in the player?

Step 3 below sounds like a horrible plan that would have temporarily
destroyed the ability of the player to recognize types: I don't know if the
player is able to repair that damage. Please never do that. =(

Problem: cannot add my pictures(.jpg) to WMP.

Trouble Shooting Done:

1. uninstalled and reinstall WMP. uninstalling each component in Control
panel.
2. renamed Current Database
3. Stopped Media player service, rename HKLM reg key, started service.
4. Tried moving pictures to a different location on HDD. and Manually
added
that folder to the Monitor folders.
5. Copied pictures to a different PC with WMP and the pictures are added
on
that PC.

After that picture still not being added.

i've been trolling the internet for 4 days looking for an answer.


If i click "apply media changes". I don't see WMP scanning "My Pictures"
folder.

Videos, Music files are ok. Its like WMP doesn't recongize jpg files.

This is not a big deal, but it drives me nuts when something doesn't work
the way it should.
