Re: Windows Media player 11

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

And I can remove these how?
And get the microsoft decoders where?

Believe me, if I knew I would have them by now. When I first loaded Vista
two years ago, many of these were not available. Since then, I've tried
locating them several times and inevitably get lost.

That's a horrifically long list to me.

All you need is the Microsoft decoders.

This sounds like a busted video card driver to me. Upgrade it to a newer

When I try to play videos in media player, they just freeze on the
first
frame and don't play. I hit play/pause over and over again, and
nothing
happens, it's just still stuck on the first frame. Videos play fine
other
applications such as windows movie maker.

Additionally, I use Studio 10 to edit video, and now I have problems
rendering video... I can still import, view, and edit the video, but
when
I
go to export it to mpeg or DVD, it freezes up and I get an error
message
after about 5 minutes. I am suspicious that the two problems are
related.

There was a cumulative update for media venter that was installed in
late
october. I've tried the system restore to revert settings to an
earilier
date, but can only go back to early november. When I did that, I still
had
this problem.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm at a total loss. Usually by
searching
forums and message board I can figure out any problem I have, but this
time,
I've been able to find nothing, and am quite frustrated as I've got a
bunch
of video to edit, and can't do it. It's also irritating to be unable
to
use
media player to watch videos.
