What happens if you copy them a second computer? Do you see the edits there?

Most of my music files are .wav. I have always edited things like Album, title, contributing artist, etc. in a playlist, using the right click edit. Then they show up correctly in the library views also. I then remove them from the playlist and access them from the library views. Furthermore, if I right click, click advanced tag editor, although all greyed out so I can't use it to edit, the entries I made using right click edit are there. None of the files have ever shown any corruption.
If that is a bug it is a very useful one :-)

No you can't. What you're suggesting will do nothing. =\
You cannot in any form fashion or way edit these in the player after they are created. If you think you can, it's a bug in the player. If you do try to do this anyways, you will either lose the data or potentially corrupt the files.

"Jean Rosenfeld" <jean.rosenfeld@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:eJc0XWTPJHA.4760@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTrue, you can't use tag editor with wav files, but you can use right click, click edit to enter e.g. album, artist, etc. WMP recognises those.
For the ones that don't get added to the library by scanning, try the following: Drag them from Windows explorer to the now playing list. Whilst they are being played, in library view, click on Now playing in the left column, to open the now playing list in the centre. You can then drag them to a playlist of your choice (create one if you wish). I think that if you then edit the album info, etc. they will appear in the appropriate library views also. In any case you would have them in the playlist you chose to put them in.

library but listed as 'unknown' ?

I have two machines with an identicle and fairly substantial music
collection which is mainly mp3 but there a two folders which which contain
600+ wavs. These need to stay as wavs.
The problem I have is that on one machine wmp library has about 20% of the
wavs in the library while the other has about 60%.
I've tried 'Apply media information changes@ and deleting the library and re
scanning.
The folders in question are within the my music folder but I have also added
them manualy to the Library monitors list.
Any one with any idea why these files arn't going to the library?
Thanks
