Re: player uses too much processing power

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hello again.

It's been fine for ages and now it's doing it again. Last night I closed
Media Player but the process just wouldn't go away, it kept just killing the
computer until I closed it manually. I've been running uTorrent next to it
which I know slows things down but even closing that and rebooting doesn't
help. The Add files list just contains my music and video folders, nothing it
doesn't need... But I suppose it keeps adding files in the background and I'm
currently downloading three seasons of House which is pretty big altogether.
I wasn't doing that last time I had the problem tho.

Any help would be appreciated as there's very little useful info to be found.
Thanks!

Under WMP's Tool:Options:Library:Monitor Folders menu list, is that list
full of folders, or is it empty?

What's the data for that crash:

?

I'm getting this in WP11 now. I added a couple of films this afternoon and
ran Add files to make sure they were in the library. Now it crashes every
time I try to do that and uses 99% of my memory just for playing songs.
I've
tried rebooting but it doesn't help. I've run Ad-Aware and I'm virus free.
Help please!
Thanks!

increasing by the second. i have a 2.66GHz P4,512MB RAM
and this has never happened before.
