It's too abstract of a crash to be immediately guessable as is. WMP11 has
better diagnostics, but that doesn't you any good.
If you put a crash DMP file on megaupload and post the URL, I'll take a
brief look and see if there's anything obvious.

I ran a search for nevideo.ax & nothing was found.
I ran the Napster Burn Fix Utility prior to encountering this problem.
Any other ideas? Thanks for your help.

That's a crash in what appears to be an unknown third party component.
Is
the file nevideo.ax on this machine?
What changed on the system before this started happening?

I just downloaded Windows Media Player 9 - Using Windows 2000.
When I try to do anything in WMP, I immediately receive this msg:
"Microsoft Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We have created an error
report
that you can send to help us improve Microsoft Windows Media Player.
We
will
treat this report as confidential and anonymous. To see what data this
error
report contains, click here."
The only options are Send Error Report or Don't Send
When you click to see what info the error report contains - here's what
you
get:
Error signature:
AppName: wmplayer.exe
AppVer: 9.0.0.2980
ModName: wmvcore.dll
ModVer: 9.0.0.3355
Offset: 00118e84
Any ideas on what do to?
Thanks
.
