An upgrade of Windows Media Player is required
Reason: You may need to upgrade to Windows Media Player version 11 by using Windows Update in order to download licenses.
Additionally, you may need to upgrade your Windows Media Player Security Version by visiting the Microsoft.com Security component upgrade website.
*** Neither of these links solve the problem...my computer has all the current Windows updates, & when I go to the Security Component Upgrade website, the upgrade button is dimmed (not available to me)

What's the exact error message that you get?

Speaking for myself only.

"John Whiting" <jlwhiting@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:Oq9gQBh9IHA.1200@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI am unable to download purchased music from Bigpond. I keep getting message telling me to update Media Player. I already have the latest Windows updates and the latest version of WMP, but I still get a message wanting me to update. Several technicians have tried to solve this problem (without success!!!) I have also contacted Bigpond without a successful solution. Everybody has told me that it is a 'known issue', but does ANYBODY have a solution???
