Re: Library cache file (CurrentDatabase_360.wmdb) corrupt - CANNOT

I figured out the problem.

I had to restart and delete the file through Safe Mode.

Is Media Center or the Sync Center open?

If nothing else, you can use a tool to mark it for deletion upon reboot.

As the title says, I can't delete my library cache file for WMP11. I have
made previous posts about this - I have a problem where songs that I have
removed from the library will re-appear there without prompting (even
though
they are in folders that are not monitored and I do not have "re-add
deleted
files" checked). I have had this problem several times in the past and
today
I remembered that what had solved it for me before was deleting the
library
cache file so it can replace itself with a new, un-corrupted one.

Here's the problem, though: I can't delete the file. At all. I know where
it
is (C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Media Player\CurrentDatabase_360.wmdb) but every time I try
to
delete it it tells me it is being used by another program. I have made
sure
through the Task Manager that Windows Media Player is fully closed (as
well
as related programs I can find like wmpenc.exe), and the only other
possible
problem I've found elsewhere (WMP Network Sharing Service) has also been
taken care of, yet I cannot delete the file.

What program could possibly be using it if none of these things are
running?
I need to find this out. I would use another program to sync my MP3 player
but unfortunately the Philips player I have is only compatible with WMP.
