Hi, I have managed to set up sharing to my PS3, and most of the files that
my Vista Business x64 PC has within the "My Music" or "My Videos" folders
work... but I have several folders full of Audio on another computer running
XP Pro....
I access these music files through my Vista machine that has a Network drive
mapped to my XP machine, and also has the offline files set up so that I can
still play the media and synchronise to the XP machine when it's switched
off...
So, basically, I need to know how to grant access to the PS3 to READ this
offline folder.
Can you simply SHARE a mapped offline network drive within Vista?
I'm not sure - I've never tried offline drives in any OS ;-)

might indicate that you need to first check windows permissions for
access to that directory across the machines :
"If you want to share files in a monitored folder that is located on
another computer..." also notes there's a specific registry key you
have to modify to get this to work in the first place.
