Is there a way I can know the date and time that a CD ceated by WMP11 was
burned ??
Not if it's an Audio CD as far as I can tell. I checked a few disks to
be sure though. On each disk are a set of entries listed as
<track>.cda which the PC uses to find th estart of each audio track.
However each disk I checked in windows 2000 PC which was burned (i.e.
not original CD) listed 2005 file creation date, which was wrong for
those tracks burn date.
This article mentions an optional date/time entry in CD file systems
http://www.techsec.com/TF-2006-PDF/TF-2006-ChrisTaylor-CDFS.pdf
but I don't think it's useful in the context of audio CDs (though may
be useful for data CDs).
Though not a stunning read I'm glad I found it, as it contains lots of
useful background info on how files are packed onto CDs generally
I also checked a few data CDs or ones which are mixed-mode (contain PC
data like movie / MOV / FLV / WMV files as well as audio CD data, and
those did seen to contain date/time info.
