What it is. I'm having trouble syncing video's from my WMP to itunes. I
tried the 'sync' tab in WMP, and in the list pane it continues to say
'connect a device' even after refreshing the devices in the sync tab....it's
as if WMP is reading that my ipod is connected the the computer.

I also tried to bring one of the video folders which is saved on my desktop,
and 'click & drag' the video into my itunes movie library, but nothing
happens. Itunes doesn't seem to accept the video.

This website recommends to install some additional security device off of
the Microsoft website which I did but that doesn't make a difference.

The video's which I'm trying to transfer from WMP into Itunes are regular
video's downloaded off of my dig. camera, which had no problems downloading
to WMP, but now I can't transfer them to itunes or to my ipod.

I'm wondering if i have to reformat the video's or do something else??? Any
help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!!

The iPod has very strict criteria as to what video files it will support.
iTunes is more flexible, and if you can get it in to iTunes it can convert
it to the specific requirements of the iPod.

An iPod supports specific settings of MPEG4 and H.264 (not just any old
MPEG4 or H.264). An iPod will not accept AVI, DIVX, WMV, etc. etc. iTunes
will accept whatever QuickTime accepts. This depends on what QuickTime
codecs you have installed (there are more available for QuickTime on the Mac
than for Windows).

You should also be aware that as standard WMP cannot sync to an iPod at all.
There are two utilities you can buy to let it do this

http://www.mgtek.com/dopisp/
and
http://www.media4.com/products/xplay/

The first one requires WMP11 (eeek!!)
The second one will be upgraded in February to a Vista compatible version
(if you buy it now, you will qualify for a free upgrade).

Note: Xplay will work with both Mac and Windows formatted iPods.

Note: Neither work with the iPhone or iTouch, for those you will need to
stick with iTunes.
