Is there a simple way to transmit music via W-LAN or Bluetooth to my hi-fi
system using Windows Media Player? It doesn't need a display or a remote
control. Just something like Apples Airport Express (would be perfect but,
of course, works only with iTunes). I can't believe there's nothing like
this out there. Thank you very much in advance.
Oh, there's loads. I have (and recommend) the Roku Soundbridge M1001 :

They work on 802.11b wifi, and have a large ~5000 station database
online of radio stations. They are comatible with WMP10 and windows
media connect, WMP11 library sharing, and iTunes 6 and 7 library
sharing (though *NOT* iTunes music store purchased music)
You'll get phono analog + optical digital outputs too. Firmware
updates are frequent (every 2-3 months) from Roku, over wifi from
their internet update site, so the device is constantly improving
Dabs UK are currently retailing these for £40 GBP Pinnacle branded :

You should be able to get the equivalent price or delivery to germany,
I guess.
