What is the *exact* text of that error?
That should mean that your Windows install is corrupt. What QFEs are
installed to this machine?

I have had this computer for 18 months with NO problems. Windows Media
Player always worked just fine. Then about 2 months ago I tried to use it
to
listen to music and it says "Windows Media Player is not installed
correctly"
or something like that. It asks if I want to install it from the Windows
site, but that still doesn't work. It seems to install and then up pops
that
same window that it is not installed. And over and over and over. And of
course it cannot be completely uninstalled so that I can just start over.
Am I going to have pay some Geek Squad guy several hundred dollars to fix
this???????
