If the KB articles--
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#indiv
don't help, you actually really would want to contact actual support as the
error text suggested. =\

I currently use WMP 11, and my computer runs Windows XP Home edition.
Anyway... perhaps I should start from the beginning.
Last week, I purchased a few songs from Verizons VCast store. When I went
to
download them, they got to 99% and the following error popped up:
You might have a problem in getting music license. (code: 0xC00D2728)
So I conacted Verizon customer support and they sent the following:
We apologize you are getting the error stating you might have a
problem
in getting music license. (code: 0xC00D2728): when attempting to download
songs. The issue you are experiencing with getting a license is normally
caused by the Digital Right's Management component of Windows XP not
being
up to date. Please follow the steps below to correct this issue.
1. Close all open windows.
2. Open an Internet browser then navigate to:
http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp.
3. Select Upgrade.
4. Select Yes to proceed with upgrade.
5. After upgrade is complete, close all windows and restart your
computer.
6. Go back into the online store and re-attempt to download music.
I followed the instructions, but the Upgrade button wouldn't work. So
after
some searching via Google, I was sent to the following page:
http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/crlupdate/en/crlupdate.html
And what do you know, the Upgrade button works! Problem is that when I
click
the upgrade button I get the following error:
An error was encountered during upgrade. If you are still unable to
play your content, additional help and support is available on
http://support.microsoft.com
I found a forum that had the DRM files that makes WMP request a security
upgrade for DRM, but when I select to do the upgrade, WMP either crashes
or
doesn't do anything at all.
I saw one workaround that said to rename the DRM folder to DRMbackup and
retry. Problem is that even with hidden files visable and system folders
visable, I still can't see the damn folder to rename it.
Hopefully someone here can help me solve this problem once and for all.
