This was answered on another thread and the solution worked for me...it does
involve deleting or renaming the drm folder as shown here:
Windows media player 11 solutions(worked for me, might work for others):
Forums stated the following which helped some folks with this issue: "Shut
off the ps3. Go to start, run, then type services.msc. When that pops up go
to the bottom and pick windows media network sharing and stop that. Close
the window. Go to my computer then go to tools at the top and folder
options. From there hit the view tab and select the show hidden files and
folders and about 2 spaces under that is something about hiding system files.
Un-check both of these. When you click the second one it will ask you if
you are sure and say yes. Then get out of that and go to c drive, docs and
settings, all users, then under that there should be the DRM folder. In that
folder delete everything. After that go back to the tools folder options
view thing and put back the two checks that you took off. Go back to
servies.msc and start back up the windows media sharing thing. Then turn
back on your ps3 and it should work."
NOTE: It is your system and your responsibility for using this information.
Be careful with what you do if you are unfamiliar with these instructions.

I have 3 PCs and a PS3. I'll refer to the PCs as Vista1, XP2 and XP3. All.
are running WMP11. Vista1 and XP2 work fine with media sharing and work
with the PS3, but XP3 does NOT. And of course, XP3 is where all my media
is.
Vista1 has an admin user and a general user, in case that matters (it does
mess up itunes sharing but probably unrelated to this). I'm guessing it
doesn't matter since Vista1 and XP2 are okay.
The three PCs are on the same workgroup and same subnet of the same router.
That all works fine. The workgroup is hosted by XP3 as is my main itunes
library that shares with Vista1 and XP2. (could that be the problem?)
XP3 CAN see Vista1 through WMP11 media sharing but cannot see the PS3.
Vista1 can NOT see XP3 through WMP media sharing. So I cant get the XP3
files to the Vista1 WMP library and therefore it can't share them with the
PS3.
When I go to the network center on Vista1 it shows the workgroup network,
and then it shows an unspecified network of media sharing that includes the
"other users of this device", XP2, and the PS3 (unknown device)...but not
XP3. When I have WMP11 running on Vista1, it shows this as a separate icon
in the unspecified network.
XP2 shares perfectly to Vista1 (one way only because of XP) and directly to
the PS3.
Finally, the PS3 can see both users on Vista1, the XP2, but not XP3.
I've checked firewall ports on XP3, turned off IPSEC on XP3, confirmed that
upnp and wmp media sharing are enabled in services on XP3. I think I'm only
running windows firewall on XP3 and have confirmed the exceptions tab. I
reinstalled the most recent WMP11, and even upgraded to Net2.0. I don't
think it can be the router since Vista1 and XP2 are working and all three are
on the same router (unless there are some settings in there I don't know
about). I don't think it can be a problem on Vista1 since it works fine with
XP2 and the PS3.
There's another post in this thread about deleting the files in my DRM
folder...hmmmm. A little nervous about that.
Any ideas?
