Re: no provision for WMA to display artist? um? uh?

Could you clarify what exactly you are trying to do in what context?
Apparently you have a WMA file, you're using WMP - then what ... ? I
completely fail to understand what you are attempting to describe. My
apologies. =(

I meant to say "WMP" & I'm not talking about the 'contributing artist'
(never seen a file with this completed anyhow) neither the 'album artist'
(because this is 'various') - just the 'Artist' e.g.

Elton John - Candle in the Wind

'Elton John' = 'Artist'

I can't figure why WMP can't display it

What are you talking about in what context?

Is "Contributing Artist" the term you're looking for?

I know the designers, and have been using ASF (and WMA) since about the
time they ever existed. I'm really confused by your confusion. =)

Rate, Content Provider, Mood - but not the "Artist"

That's because the designers made a huuuuge boo boo - They 'assumed' one
album = one artist - consequently there is no provision for WMA to
display artist? um? uh?

Anyone found a way to display the artist?

I'm currently using Windows to diplay artist (and title, whatever)
