Ok got M3U files which keep going to WMP11. Since WMP11 will not play mp3

Windows Media Player Error Message Help
You've encountered error message C00D109D while using Windows Media Player.
Additional information is not currently available for this error
How useful. Seems like MS quality (if that ever existed) has left the
building. One year of Vista agony almost complete. Never again MS.
Any ideas other than tossing Vista???
I have WMP 11 on XP with nearly all updates and also Winamp. First,
WMP 11 will play mp3 just fine. Since your WMP 11 will not, my guess
is that you do not have a codec for playing mp3 downloaded for it, or
the codec is corrupt.
To play mp3 via a m3u playlist on Winamp, you need to be sure that
both file types for mp3 and m3u are checked for it under preferences.
Also you need to go to file types for WMP 11 and be sure that mp3 is
not checked for mp3. I do not see a check box for m3u on WMP. My guess
is that when the WMP sees a m3u playlist file, it automatically calls
the mp3 files listed in the m3u playlist if mp3 is checked as a file
type for WMP to play. When two or media players are set up to play the
same file type, you sometimes get strange results.
If you can get WMP 11 to play mp3 as it should, this might resolve
your problem and you would then have the choice of using WMP 11 or
Winamp to play mp3s either directly or through m3u playlist files if
you configure preferences for both players correctly. Error messages
can be helpful or misleading. There can not be a message for ever
possible error, and sometimes you get a message that only is
indirectly related to the source cause of the problem. This happens
for many programs, not just Microsoft ones such as WMP 11. I usually
Google an error message. Sometimes this is helpful. In your case, I
found nothing useful.
