I have exactly the same problem (WMP11 cannot be installed, error code
C00D2AFB and 80070005).

In the file c:\windows\wmsetup.log "ERROR" appears in this line:
ERROR: WMC_CopyFile: Could not find source file
'C:\PROGRA~1\WINDOW~2\WMPNS.jar'. Error: '0x80070002'.

What can I do?

I have tried downloading wmp 11 nearly 10 times now but it

have auto
installed a fix on my computer which has removed all of the
codecs from my
computer so I can no longer play music with wmp 10. The only
options they
are giving me now are wmp 7.4 or 11. And of course I can't use
11 because it
wont install arrggghhhh!!!! I've tried removing this fix but
as soon as you
remove it the thing pops back on your screen as being there
and auto update
wants to put it straight back in. This is just bullying from
Microsoft.
They just keep pushing me further and further towards linux.
