If WMP10 wasn't automatically restored after uninstalling WMP11 then WMP 9
should be on the computer and (hopefully) functional. One version of WMP is
always there in XP, so does WMP run at all? Whether there are icons
displayed for it or not you can check in Add or Remove programs in the left
hand column under "Add/Remove Windows Components" to see if Media player is
set to enabled.

I upgraded to media player 11. When I tried to play it, it asked me to
validate my windows and when I clicked the "validate" icon it is not
active
or it does not respond. I tried to roll back to media player 10 and
uninstalled "media player 11", "media fromat runtime 11" and also
Microsoft
User-Mode Driver Framework Feature Pack 1.0.0. Now when I try to
install
media player 10 again it asks me to accept the agreement but when I try
to
click "accept" the option is not active. Can someone help me to get rid
of
this problem and restore my media player 10? I will be grateful.
