GSpot is a program which can identify the code name ("4CC code") that
a video decoder is known by : http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
Download and install that, open the AVI fie in GSpot using the File ->
Open menu, click Render, then write down the audio (and video) codec
details shown in GSpot.
Post them back in this newsgroup and I'll try to find a decoder you
can use to play the AVI file back in media player.
