very helpful) as it seems to be a hardware issue on my end. I do not have a
firewall issue. Other students are not having issues.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Sure - if you play the video then go to File -> Properties menu (or
right click on the video click and choose Properties) it will list the
codecs in use for playback - or not playback in your case.
If I take a bet it's WMA Mono audio, then this should be your fix :
