You should be able to use the Default Programs control panel and use the Set
Program Associations and Defaults tool to reassociate things to WMP.

How had you done the reassociation?

I installed Nero 7 on my machine. It re-associated all my files.

I changed the file associations of wmp files back to media player, but now
instead of playing streaming files, it downloads them!

How do I reset media player to play streaming files?????
