Re: Mp3 and WMA File not playing correctley?

The link Mike posted has 2 steps, the first being updating audio
drivers. However you've probably not performed the second step which
is to disable audio enhancements in the sound card configuration

Hi

All I know is it seems to be Windows Media player based in the Vista
operating system and it seems to be a bigger glitch with media player and
vista than just me having this audio problem.

If I can just work out why CD audio and wav files are not effected then this
might help us solve this annoying problem, I going to remove media player
and re-install to see if this clear my media player sound problem, In my
case it definitely does not appear to be sound card related.

Thanks

I looked at this but my comp is brand new + Vista Business, and have
downloaded all possible updates, for sound card and media. The WMA files
however were recorded from CDs on my old computer.
They do play but then will suddenly stop and crackle and continue. Very
annoying particularly when you play through mega speakers.

Hi all,

You might want to look into this, even if the systems aren't Dells, it
applies to the actual audio hardware.

It may help.

I am getting the same thing. My WMA files will suddenly go jerky and

not at
all. It's driving me mad.

Hi

I have laptop with Vista on and I was playing some mp3 off my old
computer
and suddenly all ~I get when I play them now on my laptop is silence
punctuated by a crackling noise every now and again this also applies
to WMP
file.

However CD audio and wav files play ok, is this a glitch with media
player
and vista?

Any help on how to fix would be appreciated.

Thanks
