What happens if you simply rename the *key*?
In theory you can just generate a crash dump and open that up in Visual
Studio and look at that, but that's likely going to be difficult for you to
sort through.
If you can get me a fault bucket number here, I can probably help. Failing
that, of course, I can only really wildly guess. =)
What's the data under WMP's Help:About:Technical Support Information? That
may point out potential badness.

Now what i did is removed the windows media player and reinstalled
it...now
as soon as the installation is over and windows media player starts,

messagebox with following details
memory 0x370036b4 referenced at 0x00000428.. memory cannot be "read"
press ok to terminate
press cancel to debug
Now as soon as i press ok..windows media player stops n i DONT get

screen for sending report to microsoft required to generate fault
bucket.....Now i checked my event application log....and it had 3
similar
entries...here are the details of it

and in description..it shows the same stuff as in message box.
I dont know what is going wrong and where

Hi all,
Until couple of days back...my media player (windows media player
11)
worked
fine but from last couple of days after i did auto update....it
has
started
crashing.....i get an error of this sort
memory xxxxxx referenced at yyyyyy, cannot read(sometime write)
the
memory,
click ok to terminate click cancel to debug....now when i click
ok...windows
media player closes and what worse..i have to reboot my machine
to
start

media player again......
I checked the application event log and it said event id
26...application
popup....n something regarding a dll called ntdll.dll
what should i do to remove this error
