Re: Recently Added in WMP11 - more observations

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Now that sounds like a serious flaw in the coding of Windows Media Player that it cannot handle local date formats for the customer's PC.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have ... "Debugging in Action"!

Zach,

I went to regional settings (in control panel). I then clicked the
"Customize" button next to my setting of English(UK). Next I clicked the
"Date" tab. The drop down box didn't offer any option of MM/dd/yyyy, but I
highlighted what was in the box (dd/MM/yyyy) and overtyped it with
MM/dd/yyyy. I then clicked on "Apply" and "OK".

Next I fired up WMP11. My Recently Added music now shows up again as it
should. Sounds like your deduction was correct.

My worry now is what other effects might this tweak to my date format throw
up elsewhere?

Bob

If you go to the Regional and Language Options control panel : Customize:
Date options and change the Short Form to MM/DD/YYYY, does Recently Added
then show up? You can leave it at English (UK) or whatever - I'm just
curious about *just* changing the Date short form...

Right, I believe Urge only has licensing sorted out in the US at this time.
