add music files to my library

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Since I have installed version 11 of WMP it is impossible for me to
add new music files (such as MP3): the only feature I find is to
"search" some places on my computer. I do not want to search and add,
I just want to indicate some files and then add them. How do I do
this ?
