Hi Neil,
In article <7ctbu2hkm7asi9m5hb1gour1as8idg3mht@xxxxxxx>, neil@xxxxxxxxxx
says...
I've realised we don't know *which* video files (types) yet.
This is from my original post:
" It occurs with .wmv files mostly, and also with recorded TV (recorded
in Mecia Center). These files play without any problems in Media Player
Classic and VLC Media Player, also full-screen. AVI files seem fine..."
In WMP11, go to Now Playing, select More Options from the small drop
down menu below that tab. Choose Performance tab there. Is DirectX
video acceleration for WMV ticked ? How about video smoothing and drop
frames ? My system has :
Drop frames (unticked)
Video smoothing (ticked)
DXV Acceleration (ticked)
I just checked, and my settings are the same as yours.
Videos play smoothly at 1440x900 on a low end FX5200 card and Athlon
2800, so your higher end system should have no issues. What's the CPU
usage like in Task Manager when you run like this ?
CPU usage seems high, especially for mfpmp.exe .
Must be a driver issue, still... :(
Kind regards,
Mark Veldhuis.
