Okay. How about this? Uninstall Media Play 11, then reinstall it? I haven't checked to see if that's possible or not, but I'm assuming it would be. I could also (possibly) uninstall merely the **upgrade** to WMP11, and thereby revert to MP10. . . ? I did not have the problem with 10.
I'm not going to try this until I get a couple of opinions from other NG posters. :>)

Urge has a premium relationship with Urge. You can't get rid of it. Thus my statement that Media Player is little more than adware these days and no longer simply a required and integral part of the operating system.
