Urge has a premium relationship with Urge. You can't get rid of it. Thus my statement that Media Player is little more than adware these days and no longer simply a required and integral part of the operating system.

I did that and "URGE" is still one of the available choices. I'm trying to find out how to delete it from the drop down menu.
At some point in the past, although I don't remember doing so, I must have clicked on URGE and then permitted the download software to install itself on my computer. I have now uninstalled it, but the URGE menu item is still there and it's that item I want to get rid of.
Thanks.

"Terry" <Terry@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:ub05z5vVHHA.1016@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI recently upgraded Windows Media to v11. Just below the menu bar there are icons for Forward/Back, Now Playing, Library, Rip, Burn, Sync and finally, Media Guide. I don't know what to call that bar, but I'm confident that anyone reading this will know what I mean.
My problem is with Media Guide. When I click the down arrow it displays, among other things, "browse all online stores." I clicked on that at some time in the past, and one of the available choices is "URGE" which is apparently an MTV music store. I must have clicked on URGE, because now I have a link to URGE on the drop-down menu under Media Guide. I've uninstalled their download software, but there is still a link to it on the drop-down menu. I'd like to get rid of that menu item also. Can anybody help me?
Thanks.
Terry
