I'm not sure what happens with Media Centre, but I have no problems with using a second monitor for full screen video playback with XP Home edition.I think it is a problem with the launcher application (it's written in ..Net).
All I do is drag the player to the second monitor (TV) and play. You shouldn't have any trouble. The overlaying won't work (maybe buggy ATI driver, i hate them). I have to reset the video output manually (it is a notebook where i can press a button to switch the output ports).
may have a problem, but for "official" video you have purchased it should not have a problem. I'd say if the problem persists, contact Microsoft directly. The videos are legally copied on this machine. btw, the problem also occurs when playing a DVD.
I'd like to see something similar to the minimized player so swapping monitors is not neccessary. Instead of having to move the cursor over to the second monitor, the controls are located on the primary display. Jet Audio can do this, WMP should do the same. This is what i like to have...)
