I just "upgraded" from WMP 10 to WMP 11, and am finding some annoyances in the now playing mode. There are two main issues.

1. I can't work out how to get rid of the album art/rating section from the top of the list. See the image at this url:

I don't think you can you can get rid of it. That's where the Windows Media Player team, apparently on the assumption that all media on your PC is stolen, tries to sell you the very media that you and I know you already own.

How is that an improvement on WMP 10? When will Microsoft release version 11.0.5721.514_6_ which fixes this BUG(!)?

2. It doesn't show the playing time of the playlist

Select any item on the playlist to set the focus and then press CTRL-A on the keyboard. If you look quickly down to the right of the player controls, you will see the number of tracks and the the time truncated to hours and minutes or just hours, depending on the size of the list. For some reason, seconds, and sometimes even minutes, didn't seem important to display. Like I said, look quickly. It only displays for a few seconds even if you keep all of the tracks selected.

Doesn't seem to work on mine.

Thanks Again,
Martin
