Re: WMP 11: Major Annoyances (playlist accessability)

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

This is my biggest frustration as well. Double-clicking a playlist used to
play that playlist automatically. That functionality works with RECENT
PLAYLISTS. Is there a way to increase the number of playlists considered
"recent"?

Your request for the Quick Access button or similar functionality to be
added back to the player has been duly noted and passed to the right people
for contemplation.

I'm a big fan too. =)

Seeing as Windows Media Player 11 is still a beta and from all the posts
so
far, I'm sure there are still a number of bugs in it,but so far no
problems
at all on my end.

After downloading and installing the new version (with fingers crossed
that
it won't destroy my extensive digital library).
Instalation and set up went without a hitch and after going through the
usual customization and migrating the libray, it was up & running in less
than 10 minutes.
The interface is improved and the functions are more realastic &
accssesibale than WMP10 & after a couple of days of going at it from every
diffrent angle, could not find a bug or a problem(imagine my surprise that
a
microsoft product actually works OK out of the box).
Playing music, videos, pictires, burning & ripping so far has gone well.

The only major annoyance is accessing the playlists from the now playing
screen.
I have created more than 50 customized playlist that WMP11 imported with
no
problem(with all the ID tags &....).
The problem is there is no way to access the playlists from the"now
playing"
screen.
Instead in order to play the playlists from the now playing screen,
everytime you have to go back to the library, click on the playlist, then
click on the playlist of your choice, click on the song or album in the
playlist & then click back on now playing.
If you want to play another playlist you have to go back through all thoes
steps again and again.
I don't undrestand how can they overlook the simplest function that is
nessessary to play digital files that are categorized and playlisted or
I,m
just missing he way to do it.
Anyways hopefully it will be fixed ASAP.
