Re: WMP 11 updates

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

It's a non-server SKU and you're running with admin privileges, then either
Windows Update is somehow disabled or the WMP AutoUpdate has been turned off
via group policy--
http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#autoupdate
, since there's no further ability for that menu option to turn itself off.
(It tests for those three things only.) =\

Do you have WMP's updates or Windows Updates turned off in the Group
Policy
editor?

11.0.5721.5145 is the latest WMP available at this time. There are a
couple
QFEs available from http://support.microsoft.com if you need them, but
they're likely not of general interest.
