Do you have a memorystick on your system? That was the issue in question.
If you don't, you're hitting something different... =\

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11 (FINAL) INSTALLATION FAILS.

PROBLEM:
Installing WMP 11 (Final) Crashes The Computer - Crash Is Always Severe
(Computer Re-Starts) And Always Occurs At The Very Same Final Steps Of
The Installation Process - Computer Crashes *After* The WMP11
Validation Phase And During The Very First WMP11 Launch While Apparent
Final Downloads And A Final "Configuration" Step Is Occurring.

Installation Strategies Have Included:
- Installing With The Usual Online Windows Update Procedure.
- Installing *After* Downloading The WMP11 SetUp File From The
Microsoft WebSite.
- Installing Using The Default "Express" Setup.
- Installing Using The "Custom" Setup (With Nothing Checked
Including The URGE Store Program Installation).

MY PRESENT SOLUTION:
RollBack To WMP10 (After Numerous WMP11 Installation Failures.)

QUESTIONS:
Has Anyone Else Had Similar WMP11 Installation Problems?

How Have Such Problems Been Solved?

Suggestions Welcome If Possible.

Thanks In Advance.
Dennis

NOTES:

12/04/2006.)
