I have a similar problem. I downloaded WMP11 but I could not open it. and

How did it not open?

reinstallingWMP11?
No, that would seriously break WMP upon your system. You should not do
this.
If you want to reinstall, simply reinstall over the top. If you delete
files, you will lose files that will not be restored.
