......Just in case this isn't exactly what you were looking for, I renamed
the original log file and ran the /PerformIndiv again so it would create a
new log with only that info. Here is what I got from there...

After doing this, I tried playing my protected music again, but got the same
results. I tried downloading the security updates from Microsoft, but still
got the message saying it could find the file it was looking for. It's almost
like my DRM file has disappeared and the update program will not update
without it????

OK, run that again - after that, what are the last twenty lines in
c:\windows\wmsetup.log ?

Note that this is VERY case-sensitive - it has to be exactly "/PerformIndiv"
or it won't work.

unregmp2.exe is just directly doing what the web page is trying to do.
unregmp2 is not for general user usage, and clicking on it won't do anything
you'd notice.

That information you included is very helpful - as suspected, you're using a
very old DRM right now, and need to be updated. If the button doesn't work
for you, unregmp2.exe might - unless something is broken, which I believe
would be logged into wmsetup.log .

With WMP11, you *should* be able to run:
c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /PerformIndiv
and this should be fixed up.

OK...
I did a system restore and got WMP 10 back with media rights. Now I have
reinstalled WMP 11 (again it asks for security upgrade when I try playing
my
purchased music).

I tried running c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /PerformIndiv from command
prompt. It seems like absolutely nothing happened. I then double-clicked
on
it in Windows Explorer...again with no result. I tried the web
individualization again...same error message. Is it possible that the
update
is corrupt on Microsoft's server, or that it is looking in the wrong place
on
my computer for WMP11? I assume the player installs itself into the proper
folder.

Here is the top info from the "About" tech assistance...
