I once had a small program that would automatically determine what
would fit on any size media. Used it a long time ago when I was
putting small shareware programs on floppies and distributing them as
part of a business. Guess I'll have to find that little proggie
again! First I'll try this SyncToy program mentioned in the posted
below from Neil.

Not that it, at least for now, helps much but my solution to that was to
write an application that creates random sets of media with the set size
determined by the user. It copies those items to another folder, removing
the album art because my truck can't read tags with my 480x480 pixel album
art in them. Once that copy is done, I just use Explorer to copy to a CD or
device.

It's sort of limited but I always fill my pocket PC or CDs randomly so it
works for me.

My only reason really for wanting to use it was that I have a pretty
massive library and it is simply easier sometimes to find something in
WMP then it is in explorer that's all. It also save's me the trouble
of figuring out weather or not something will fit or not if I have
stuff on there already.

Thanks Dale, I'll look into that. I had a feeling that it may have
something to do with the bitrates. However the majority of my music
has been encoded at 128k and it would take forever to re-rip them
(over 5 years worth of encodes). Know of any other way? :) I think I
may be stuck just using windows explorer.
