Re: $NtUninstallWudf01000$

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Engels:

They are backup folders that Windows updates generates each time you install
an update. In most cases the number after KB indicates the particular
update. In a few cases, instead of a KB number a different description is
given (as in the example you give, which, I think is for Windows Update
itselff).
The files in those folders are backup copies of the older files that the
update replaced. They will only be used if you choose to uninstall an
update, so it can put back the older versions of files the update replaced.

If you are certain that you will not want to uninstall an update, it is safe
to delete its $NTUninstallKBxxx folder, but do not delete the folder
$hf_mig$. Deleting a folder will not remove the corresponding entry in
control panel, add/remove programs. But if you click in there on an update
for which you have deleted the $NTUninstallKBxxxx folder, you will get an
error message with the option to remove the entry from add/remove.

However, my advice is to leave them. They do not actually use much space on
your hard drive, as they are compressed.
