Re: How Do I make an MP3 Disc in WMP11?

To get the most songs on a CD, they should be burned as Data.
If the files you are burning to a CD-R are mp3's,
then that is what they will be burned as.

Is your car player capable of playing mp3's?

M3U versus WPL, this is taken from the WMP 11 help files:

When burning a data disc, the Player creates a playlist that lists the files
being burned and then includes the playlist on the disc. If your playback
device supports playlists, the items will play back in the order in which
they appeared in your burn list. By default, the playlist is a file with a
..wpl extension. If you want to play your data discs in a device that doesn't
support .wpl playlists, you can use the .m3u format instead.

Hope this helps.

Thanks George Gee, that's what I did but when I put it in the player it
didnt
play numbers were just flicking through the display. In the advanced
options
for burn theres the option of MU3? or WM I've probably got the
abreviations
wrong but which format do I choose so that a data cd will work as an mp3
disc. I'd much prefer to have a disc with 150 songs to play in the car
rather
than 12 songs.

Any further tips and help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Click on the large 'Burn' button at the top of the screen.
Click on the tiny down arrow, just below the word 'Burn'
on the 'Burn' button.
Select 'Data CD'
Drag the files you wish to have on your CD to the right-hand pane.
Insert a blank disc into your burner.
Click 'Start burn' button lower right.
