I upgraded to WMP 11, and now the DSM-320 does not see any of the music I
have on a wireless network storage device. WMP 11 sees, and plays all the
music I have on my entire network, but DSM-320 only sees and plays what's on
the computer running WMP 11. If I run the DLink Media Server software, the
DSM-320 sees all of the music on my network, but will not play protected
media. That's why I used Windows Media Connect 2.0 in the first place.
Any Ideas
I think the folders the DSM gets handed have to be in the monitored
folders list. So WMP would need to be set to scan those network
folders to pass back the info.
Having said that, there are a lot of unresolved device issues
currently in WMP11, and no obvious way to resolve them
The newsgroup microsoft.public.windowsmedia.devices might be a batter
place to post your question, as some of the WM devices staffers hang
out on it from time to time.
