I downloaded windows media player 10 but it won't load onto my computer. It
says, this version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this
version of Windows.

Well, it's just what the message says. You need to read the system
requirements first. If your computer does not meet them, do not expect the
software to run.

You may be able to find an older version of WMP that runs on your system.
