First of all - which version of media player do you have ?
(In the menu Help -> About windows media player)
Are they actually MP3 files you have to transfer, or are they DRM
protected windows media audio (.wma) files that you got from the
online store ?
If it's a no-name MP3 player, there's a good chance it doesn't support
WMA audio files at all, but only MP3 audio files.
If you have media player 11 (for example), does the device show up in
the list on the right when connected ? Click the small down arrow
under Sync, choose More Options then Advanced. Now click the "Delete
Files" button, unplug the device, retart WMP and plug the device back
in. Any difference then ?
