Did you have any ongoing charges for MSNMusic that were going to be charged
to your card? Or were you just wanting to ensure that your credit card was
no longer on file?

I finally was able to cancel my MS Music account that used to be connected
to
the MediaPlayer online music store, but only after a temendous amount of
hassle. MS will not make it easy on you to pull your credit card.
Here's the story guys,
It's a scam by Microsoft, showdy business practices at best, when MS makes
it so hard to cancel your MS Music Account in connection to your credit
card
that's on file with that account.
First, they don't let you cancel your account in an easy manner at all.
Believe me I did the research today and last night after I found out that
Microsoft was no longer in the business of selling music online, and that
media player will now direct you away from the option of buying music in
the
easy fashion it used to be.
Here's what everyone needs to do to cancel your MS Music account. I'll
give
the "correct telephone number to call at the end of this message".
When you try to cancel your credit card account from the MS account
management link, (this is classic MS B...S...) the link sends you to a
German
website....isn't that great for support, yeah Baby...MS is BS, it donesn't
get any thicker than that kind of support, does it? A friggen German
website
when you try to cancel your MS credit card account...can you believe it?
Now MS has stooped to the low level of AOL with all the hassles those poor
folks have to put up with when they try to cancel their AOL accounts. I
thought AOL was the lowest, now I'm thinking MS is right there with them.
The bottom line is, MS wants to try to scam you into automatically using
your existing credit card account info at the new Zume site. You
shouldn't
trust "anyone" with your credit card information, especially when they
close
out a site like they did with MediaPlyaer's online music store with no
notice
or support for the customer and what their options are regarding their
existing accounts. Scam, Scam Scam...shame on you Microsoft!
Unfortunatley you'll only find this out if you do the lengthly research I
had to do today just to get my MSN Account closed. MS doesn't want to
make
it easy for you to close out their account.
I hope they loose millions of customers after the BS I had to go through
to
close my account.
So, in the States, here is the telephone number to call to cancel your MS
Music Account.
It is 1-866-672-4551. Oh yeah, CAUTION, the person who answers the phone
will try to get you to foolishly switch you credit card info to the new
Zume
account. Just tell him or her to stop wasting anymore of your time than
MS
already has with this issue and just cancel your MS Music
account.........They give you a cancellation confirmation number, and an
email to back that up also................
Then, off to another music provider that won't jerk you around.
I'm out of here,
Robert
