Just a few errors this time. One in the playlist section and the others in
the Skins section.

ERROR: Package 'DefaultPlaylist'. Result: 0x80070002.

Doesn't seem to show anything with the Explorer plugin. I've tried going
back to IE6 and it still doesn't work. Only if I revert back to WMP10.

Yeah, you can delete or rename that file then - those are ignorable errors.
If you rerun setup, what ERROR: lines are in c:\windows\wmsetup.log *then*?

As far as I can tell so far, the install is succeeding, with the possible
exception that it appears that:
c:\program files\windows media player\skins
may be a corrupt directory(?). That shouldn't affect IE, though.

else -- what lines in c:\windows\wmsetup.log contain "ERROR: "?

I am using MCE version 2005 and Rollout 2 and the October update. When
I
install Media Player 11 I get the error code after installation:
COOD2AFE

Media Player appears to be running fine until I try loading a video in
IE7.
This is an issue with wma files (example: videos from
http://video.msn.com )
The videos just appear to scroll thourgh going from one title to the
next
and never stopping or playing a video.

During the installation of wmp11 it does make it to 100% but then gets
the
"cannot complete installation" with the error code above.

I've uninstalled wmp11 and had it go back to 10 and this isn't a
problem
in
wmp10.

Any ideas?
