WMP11 .wmv playback crashes

I am having a problem with the new WMP11, when I have list of .wmv files playing it will play the first file fine, but when it goes to switch to the second in the list WMP11 crashes. This problem only occurs with .wmv files, and not with others. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this?
