Without a sample file to look at, I don't think anyone can comment terribly
effectively. But yeah, WMP supports WAV just fine.
It certainly sounds like the recorder is butchering the file. Any kind of
RIFF/WAV validation utility should be able to verify the integrity of the
troublesome files.

Hi
I've got a problem that I hope someone can help me with.
I'm recording phone calls using a Asterisk( Linux ), the recorded file can
be low wav ( 13 kbps), high wav ( 128 kbps) and format called gsm. I chose
low wav and for the most the files are OK, but sometimes the playing ends
with something like / Tee file is broken or the player doesn't support the
format you're trying to play". If I check the properties for file I find
Bitrate: 13 kbps, Channels: 1( Mono), Samplingrate: 8khz, Format: GSM
6,10.
The file extension is 12345.wav.
Does Media Player support that format or not?
Hope someone can help
Best regards
/René
