I shouldn't need to download anything else, because like I said, it was
all working before with the same software, the question is how to get
it back to where it was.

I had InterVideo Media Launcher and MediaOne Gallery installed - they
came with our motherboard.
Windows Media Player 10 was working and we could watch DVDs on it with
no problems.
My dad wanted Nero installed, because he has numerous NCD files saved
from the old incarnation of our computer.
I didn't like to leave InterVideo there if we weren't using it,
especially since it launches a couple programs on startup with no
options to stop it doing so, so I uninstalled Media Launcher and
MediaOne Gallery.
The latter did not uninstall properly and left its entire folder behind
on our C drive and a shortcut on our desktop; these I deleted.
I installed Nero OEM Suite 1, and discovered that we could no longer
play DVDs... the decoding thingamys to play them came with InvterVideo,
not Media Player.

SO

I re-installed InterVideo, BUT there is an error that occurs at the end
of installation for the MediaOne Gallery (I've tried a couple times, it
is consistent) , and the program will not launch. Media Launcher
installed properly, and DOES work.

HOWEVER, now when I play DVDs on WMP10 there is video, but no audio.
Please help me here, I'm lost.
